My name is Pastor Je’Rico J. Brown, and I’m running for the United States Congress in Illinois’ 1st  Congressional District. I’m not a career politician—I’m a community servant. I’ve spent the last 14 years pastoring Renewal Life Church on Chicago’s South Side, walking with people through their real-life struggles: homelessness, addiction, poverty, broken families, and broken systems. I’ve prayed at hospital bedsides and stood with mothers who’ve lost children to gun violence. These experiences didn’t just shape me—they called me. They told me that faith alone wasn’t enough if we didn’t also fight for justice.

I’m running for Congress because our community deserves more than empty promises and political performances. We need bold, moral leadership—leaders who know our blocks, not just our ballots. For too long, our schools have been underfunded, our streets over-policed, and our neighborhoods underserved. I’m running to build a full-service mental health center that will serve single mothers and children. I’m committed to affordable housing, economic development, and reforming the systems that divide us, including the zoning and policy decisions that have led to segregated schools and communities.

Our people need housing, not hashtags. Our children need opportunity, not more debate. I’m not running to fit in—I’m running to stand out. Because the same systems that have held our communities back are the same ones too many politicians protect. I’m not afraid to challenge the status quo. I’ve never been backed by special interests—only by the people I serve every day.

If you’ve ever felt unseen by politics, then this campaign is for you. If you believe that churches, block clubs, veterans, single parents, and working people deserve a real voice in Washington, then I ask for your support. Your contribution will help us bring this message to every corner of the 7th District—from Garfield Park to the South Loop, from Austin to Bronzeville. We are building a grassroots, people-powered movement, and every dollar goes toward outreach, voter engagement, and community events that uplift, not exploit.

We don’t have the corporate dollars, but we have community strength. We have faith. And we have the will to fight for a better Chicago. With your help, we can turn this vision into reality. This isn’t just my campaign—it’s our campaign.
